We thought it might be interesting for you to take a sneak peak behind the scenes of one of our photo shoots. In this particular case Chris Jones was shooting the Nissan 370Z Roadster with model Kaylin Omo at a location off the 74 Highway in Southern California. Our Cor Steenstra took his own photo and video cams to shoot the scenes. Enjoy.

During a special Electric Vehicle Dutch Business Breakfast on June 17 at the Royal Dutch Consulate in downtown San Francisco, Cor Steenstra presented Steenstra GCM, the new American company which aims to produce high-end zero emission sports cars. During the presentation Steenstra also unveiled the latest guise of the Styletto, an electrically powered super sports car squarely aimed at the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini.

In a hitherto unique project bridging various fields of profession, the trainees of Daimler AG at the Sindelfingen Mercedes-Benz plant have built a Roadster with fuel cell drive. For about a year, more than 150 trainees and dual education system students worked on the overall concept, development, assembly, and completion of the F-CELL Roadster.
This project involved junior employees from the fields of automotive mechatronics, model-building, electronics, coating technology, manufacturing mechanics, product design, and interior appointments. The prime objective of the project was to integrate the topic of alternative drive systems into training with hands-on experience.

Toyota added a five-door Liftback, to its popular, fuel-efficient Yaris subcompact model line for 2009. We had a chance to sample this Euro-style and came away impressed. Impressive was certainly the built quality and feel. It seemed a solid car, very different from what you expect in this category, certainly among its peers.
Our test car was equipped with the 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine, which 106 BHP should be sufficient to propel this little vehicle with easy. Most likely due to precisely the built quality, it seemed under-powered. We really had to rev the engine to make it go round, but when we did it went very nicely indeed, always safe, easy to control within the cars limits.

The new model is the successor to both the BMW Z4 Roadster and the BMW Z4 Coupe and includes a variety of new features such as two turbochargers, the BMW iDrive control system and a seven-speed sports automatic transmission.
